Gauzak
I don't own a coffee table because I don't like the permanence of it.
I prefer moveable end tables or containers with handles so that the space can change based upon what I am doing. These pieces by spanish design firm Gauzak (Barcelona) fulfill that requirement and also satisfy my overwhelming need for magazine storage.
Gauzak is an industrial and product design firm in Barcelona. Founded by Leire Pérez, Juan Tomás Carboneras and Arkaitz Arco. The meaning of GAUZAK translates to "STUFF". Per Gauzak, "Anything having an entity, whether it is physical or spiritual, natural or artificial, real or abstract".

What's Your Shape
Geometry - Form - Symbols and Meaning. I often wonder if shapes simply have meaning based upon how we have assigned their use or if their is something deeper...some intrinsic quality that governs them. I am leaning towards the latter.
RK is run by Riikka Kantinkoski who also has a lovely blog called Week Day Carnival.

Mysterious Letters
Mysterious Letters was formed by Lenka Clayton and Michael Crowe. Here is what they are about: "We are sending letters to everyone in the world, one town at a time. The letters all arrive on the same day, causing community curiosity, comparison and confusion." So far, 2,000 letters and counting have been sent....and coming to a town near you.
If you can't wait for your town to receive your lot, you still have a few choices. Lenka and Michael have their own Mysterious Letters shop where you can purchase: 1. Mystery letter about the topic of your choosing 2. A replica of 10 letters that were already sent (exhibition catalogue for Mysterious Letters Cologne) 3. Hard copy book of the 100 best letters ever sent.

Tourisms
Tourisms
is a photographic travel guide with photos submitted by photographers
across the globe. The site is easy to navigate and is searchable 2 ways: My Place and Your Place.
Simple. If the photographer lives there, you will find the guide under My Place. If they are just visiting, Your Place.
I can't begin to tell you how surprised at what a great time we had when we were in Poland. Definitely, it is the people that make you want to go back (not the driving!) The cobblestone street above looks quite familiar and may even be the street we stayed
on? Who knows....
Tourisms was founded by The Hard Workers Club.

The Black Pearl
A street in Rotterdam. A house named the Black Pearl.
Owner and architect Rolf Bruggnik.
The
only thing I know about Rotterdam is that my great-grandparents were
born there. It is a place I have always wanted to visit just to see if I
could still find relatives there. Looks like I might have to plan that
trip sooner rather than later.
Owner Rolf Bruggnik renovated (saved) this early 1900s home in a less-than-desirable neighborhood in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Liking the inky exterior and that old school toilet.

?
This photo brought me to a halt. Who makes this chair? I just can't stop staring! Looks like a Series 7 was cut off and fitted into the back.
Any ideas?

SWISSTED
Mike Joyce of Stereotype Design has an ongoing project called Swissted. The objective was to take Swiss-style graphics/typography and re-make famous punk flyers. The people I have shown this to so far have lost their minds at what an awesome idea this is.
Unfortunately, I was a few years too young to actually go to many of these shows. The entire site is a playlist of my life. Here is a sampling of the music that filtered through my life and many of those around me. Oh, and the graphics are great too!
