Tourisms

Tourisms/My Place - Photo Guide of Wroclaw, Poland.  Photographer Lukasz Wierzbowski.

Tourisms is a photographic travel guide with photos submitted by photographers across the globe.  The site is easy to navigate and is searchable 2 ways: My Place and Your Place.
Simple.  If the photographer lives there, you will find the guide under My Place.  If they are just visiting, Your Place.
I can't begin to tell you how surprised at what a great time we had when we were in Poland.  Definitely, it is the people that make you want to go back (not the driving!)  The cobblestone street above looks quite familiar and may even be the street we stayed on?  Who knows....
Tourisms was founded by The Hard Workers Club.

?

Possibilities of travel next month. Must familiarize myself with the currency. Unsure if this is widely used but appears to be designed in 2008. I don't know if I love it or hate it.

Unimog

Today I learned what a UNIMOG is. Apparently it is an off-road, all-terrain vehicle made by Mercedes Benz. This couple purchased one and turned it into a mobile home. Whoa! They use the UNIMOG 6 months out of the year to travel through Europe. The rest of the year they live in a garage-turned-home and use the UNIMOG as their bathroom.

Dolder Grand Hotel

Thanks to a friend for sending me this image of the Carezza Suite at the Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich (originally found via Cool Hunter).....I love the peaceful yet modern feel of this room. Edited to perfection..... simple scandinavian furniture and organic materials only compliment the views of the Alps.

Hotel Aire de Bardenas

Hotel Aire de Bardenas in Navarra, Spain sits alongside the Bardenas Reales National Park and the Biosphere Reserve in Tudela. Looks like the perfect place to take respite. Designed by Monica Rivera and Emiliano Lopez.

Disturb/Don't Disturb

Michael Lebowitz via Big Spaceship has a great collection of door hangers (inherited from his grandfather). The graphics on this are so simple and yet get the point across perfectly. I would use these in my house in a heartbeat.

Vintage Maps

Delighted to pick up these vintage maps. Since visiting Spain last September, the urge to keep traveling is strong. So, these maps will have to do for now.
