I love when I can share with you local artists in the community that I live. These antlers were made by Cassandra Smith. I am really liking the matte and metallic finish on these! They are cruelty-free shed antlers and are available through her Etsy store and select stores across the country. Cassandra Smith is also the co-founder of Fine Line, which is an international fine art magazine. Check it out!
Look at that rack! Did you know that deer shed their
antlers every year after mating season - usually between January and
April. Every year the process begins again and each year their rack,
er...antlers will grow in size, which will help attract females and
fight other males during the mating season.
Swedish design group GLIMPT work with craftsmen from around the world to have their designs produced. So far they have traveled to Africa and Vietnam and I think they have a good thing going here. I am sure in the months to come they will have established more great connections and in turn more beautiful objects.
Sculptural, useful and beautiful. Feather holder, Hand held feather mobile and Hanging feather mobile: L'atelier d'exercices. There is also a fabulous link to the Martin Margiela catalogue on their site.......go there.
How adorable are these hangers for children. Called Hookie, these are made by FabGoose in Sweden. My friend and I have found a few of these vintage while thrifting, but to get a big stack at one time.................
These vinyl wall stickers have been around for awhile. I'm not sure if I would ever use decals or if they are still "in", but they are still cute. From Domestic.
Sometimes I dream of living in an apartment like this vs buying a house. Funny as it may sound, but I love walking down long hallways and finding odd little rooms tucked here and there. This looks like my ideal apartment....the styling, the molding, the floors....but unfortunately this style of architecture just doesn't exist in America or at least in my city. I'll keep searching though. Photography and styling by Sasa Antic-Sweden
