Shown: opentop table legs by Amoq. Metal table legs that can clamp onto just about any 4 sided object to create a table.   Adding the ability to construct something that has been deconstructed.

?

This photo brought me to a halt.  Who makes this chair?  I just can't stop staring!  Looks like a Series 7 was cut off and fitted into the back.
Any ideas?

Wannekes

Just found out about Wannekes, a modern furnishings store based out of the Netherlands. These pictures are from the Inspiration page and based upon these, I can tell I want to shop here. Can't wait for the weekend to start so I will have more time to go through the selection.

Dutch Roots

My Dutch roots are swooning over these pieces. Designed by Scholten & Baijings, this collection is called 'Truly Dutch' and are interpretations of Dutch masterpieces found at the Zuiderzee Museum. Collection includes: pegged chair, wooden travel case, tilt-top table, drop-leaf table and marken cabinet.

Misewell at ICFF

Congratulations to Misewell, Milwaukee based furniture designers, for winning this year’s ICFF Editors Award for Best New Designer. I first saw their pieces at Gallery Night/Milwaukee at DWR in October and I am so pleased to see that they are receiving such a welcoming response from the design community for their first furniture collection.

I am always rooting for Wisconsin.

And ALSO

ALSO chair/desk by Akin Bacioglu (Turkey). Not bad....usually multi-functional furniture has too many angles or it just looks like a chair turned on its side, but this design works for me.

Modern 50

Modern 50, out of Virginia, has expanded its collection from Mid Century Modern pieces to a collection that now includes industrial era wood and steel furniture to found design oddities. It's a welcome addition since the Industrial Revolution is one of my favorite periods in history.

Luis Porem

Trico chair by Barcelona designer Luis Porem. Simple stackable chairs made mostly out of wood with textile and metal detail. The colors are what elevates this chair into something I would want.

Front Design Group

My husband and I recently went to the art supply store on a whim a few weeks ago and picked up some pencils.....to get back to the basics.....and sadly, to try to remember how to draw. I've been finding myself doing little cross hatch drawings on my notepad at work.

Now today, I found these lovely pieces from Front design group in Sweden that used hand drawn sketches to produce as they say "materialized illustration". A little cross hatch and a little tromp l'oeil. Wonderful!
